Sensei Bahram Shafaat's Biography
He was born in Tehran in 1968. From the beginning of his teenage he was so interested in martial arts. He was one of Bruce Lee fans and wished to be like him a day.
He went to Kung-Fu club when he was just 10 and began to train it from master Sohrab Isapour and because of his great talents and tends to martial arts he have also tried Taekwondo ,karate,chiness boxing and boxing as well. When he was 17, joined to war volunteered forces and attended in war activities till his grand brother was killed in the war. After the high school went to air forces to become a pilot and having finished the training courses, went to Japan in 1991 and this was time he got familiar with the self defending martial art AIKIDO under the training of Shihan. Haruyoshi Horikoshi Sensei and also was training Karate with Master Nokouchi Sensei.
During 13 years of Aikido training in private with Sensei Horikoshi and because of his good capabilities and prepared body, he was so considered by Sensei Horikoshi and other masters, and in the absence of Sensei, he was the master in the club.
He proceeded up to Dan 4 in Aikido and after being granted international Dan 4 certificate by Horikoshi Dojo came back to Iran to teach Iranian Aikido fans. Sensei Horikoshi is invited every year to Iran by him and tests and qualifies the trainers for black belt grade.
Sensei Bahram Shafaat is the first Iranian honored to be granted international Dan 4 certificate by his great efforts and this is one of his main succession in life and for whole Iranian Aikido fans.
